Things you don't need to KNOW

Grand dog Bella riding to Home Depot with Daddy, my son Dan
I AM IN CHARGE, here we go. A lot of stuff NOT on your need to know list or even your want to know list.

I wash as many DOG linens as I do PEOPLE linens. Jake has his own 4 towels, his own 5 blankets, his own 2 sheep skin bedding, his own 2 sheets that cover the two chairs he alternately sleeps in each night. Jakes linens include  pillows with cases that live on the sofas.

As an after thought, we can count Bob's t-shirts he wears around the house because everytime bob sits on the sofa, Jake jumps up and rubs his head all over the front of said t'shirts, making them have to go in the laundry.
Do you have PET LAUNDRY?

If so, what kind, Tell Me I am Not the ONLY one.

This is the Visa Rewards card, with my rebate from Heartworm meds and flea/tick meds. Cost of  $190.00 for 6 months.

The rebate card is  $40.00
Why not charge me $150.00 to begin with and stop the madness of rebates?

WHY does it cost so much for two boxes of 6 pills each. $12.50 per pill.
For several years we had 3 dogs  and in Florida you must have them because of our year round seasons of bugs.

Good NEWS! Rebates come on Visa cards now... woo hoo... not trip to the bank to deposit/cash.

When I had my angels Jade dog and Jasper cat, I washed more for them than for myself - or so it seemed. All the furniture covers, the towels, the bedding... sigh... I don't miss it - and yet I do.

I refuse to buy anything that has that 'cashback' malarkey. YAM xx

Bella looks like a real sweetheart. That seems pretty silly to charge $190 and then send $50 back. I suppose their way of trying to make the customer think they are getting a deal.

Sweet Bella! I have laundry for both Theo and the cats! Sheets, towels, an old bedspread. We get our flea treatment, heartworm med at our vet and receive either 2 or 3 "free" depending how much we purchase.

Bella is a cutie! Heartworm meds must have really gone up in price, since we bought them. Enjoy your day!

Bella appears to be looking both ways---good dog.
Lucy doesn't taken any meds on a regular basis but she is due for periodic inoculations next week. That will be a pricey bill. And . . .
she recently took over the guest bed and I'm asking myself 'am I really making a dog's bed every morning?' Answer = yes.

I use the medicine on my cat and I still don't know why it's so expensive. I guess they have a monopoly on it though.

Well probably not as much as you do but Madi has a towel on each of the 3 beds (that she doesn't always use) a towel in two of the upholstered chairs) and her very own blanket. I probably wash the bedspreads THAT she prefers to use over the towels, more than the towels.

I hear you on the pet med. I'm buying so much from my vet now they are giving us a senior discount. The phosphorous binder is compounded at a pharmacy in Arizona...they don't give discounts. LOL When I told my daughter she said is the senior discount due to your age or Madi's I said all 3.
Bella is beautiful

Yes, Bella looks like an in charge kind of dog! I see she has her own monogrammed stuff! Well, come to think of it, we DO have pet laundry! The hand towel on the good chair, because sometimes he sits there, and fur and dirt would accumulate. Also we always have a throw on the couch, and it gets fur all over it. Wow, you DO have more than people laundry!! Phil has always said ENOUGH with the coupons and rebates, just make things cheaper.

I love this story and the question why do they give you rebates -just make the cost less.

You do have a lot of laundry for him. Not so much for Disco. He has two blankets and a pillowcase.

Sometimes I have more dog laundry that people laundry! Plus, our bedding gets washed every other week because Arty and Jake sleep with us.

You reminded me, I still have my heartworm refund Visa card...My problem is I forget all about it!

We don't have any pet linens to launder, Sandra, but it was interesting to read your pet and human totals! The thing about those rebates on VISA cards is that IF you don't use the card in a specified number of months - you are charged INTEREST, which is WHY I use them up right after I've received one, which has been very often.

Wow, that's a lot of laundry! ... but then I imagine Jake's much more active than our pups who'd probably rather have root canals than get wet. Since they sleep with us, I suppose theirs are ours.
I don't recall what we paid for their Heartguard meds last year, but that had rebates that I find enormously annoying. I just picked up what their new vet is recommending: Intercept. $108 and change for 6 months.

Those gift cards are hard to use! I got a $200 card for signing up for Direct TV. I used $150 of it at a restaurant in Galveston where I treated all my siblings to a big lunch and drinks before we headed home. Now I need to figure out how to spend the rest of it. It expires in July so I’m hoping I don’t forget about it!

What kind of dog is Bella? So cute!!!
With shedding dogs it is important to have those linens. Skye has two small blankets that I wash. They lay on top of her beds. Skye wears Advantage II which costs about $102. for six months. We don't have Heartworm issues where we live. Glad you get the rebate.
