TOPS good news bad news

The past two weeks at TOPS (take off pounds sensibly) I was down .6 (six tenths) of a pound each week. I was BUMMED.. I weighed on Wed and was down 2 pounds. Thursday am, only down .6.
I had been losing at least 1 or 2 pounds a week. now 2 weeks in a row I gained 1.4 over night.

Our guest speaker, a life time member of Weight Watchers taught us how to read labels.

After the meeting I pulled out  Orrville Redenbacher Simply Salted Seasalt in a bag that is ready to eat after 2 minutes in the microwave.  The above is the label from that popcorn.

one bag, 2800 gr salt, 170 calories 100 from fat, 7 servings + 1200 calories. Total Water Retention 1.4 pounds over night.

GOOD NEWS IS. I was down 2 pounds this Thursday and that is a total of 19.. woo hoo

I had to go buy a popcorn popper and a jar of popcorn... because

Air-popped popcorn contains only 31 calories per cup. MYNEW problem is it taste like dirt without salt. any ideas??????  the new pot is for veggies, I only had 2 large pots and 1 small because I HATE COOKING... but I am doing it. COOKING I mean. as little as possible.

The Case of the Lighted Hibiscus

A thought hit me suddenly. Watt would a hibiscus look like lighted? Since I am always well grounded, I plopped said hibiscus on the white lights in the nook. Shocked are you??

Looking UP and Down..

Our Avocado tree is about 3 stories high now. in the top photo you can see the roof lines on either side. the tree is so big I can't get the whole tree in a photo..

Below this Red Admiral comes to visit every day at 4:30, they are territorial and come back to the same place at the same time each day. He sat on Bob's head, my head, my back and arm several times. Each day we go out and wait for him to come to sit on us.

Sometimes when I visit a friends blog, it is like a challenge to me. I visited Ann at SnapEditScrap and This Post was one I liked and wanted to duplicate. Since I am Craft Challenged, I brought my orange hibiscus inside to see what I could do by sitting it on a book... I chose my TOPS food journal.. The photo was ok, but no bokeh that I liked so much, thus the Lunapic Beauty edit above.

Anole Almost Wordless Wed.

I spied with my camera eye this  lone green fern growing up at the rusty propane tank, I snapped twice before I saw the small visitor sunning himself. We love our brown Anole. He is every bit as cute as the Geico Gecko.

Ibis PHUN

There were 20 Ibis in our front yard on Sunday which is a common sight in Florida, like Robins in the north.

A little known fact about these birds is As the clouds become dark and a hurricane approaches, folklore maintains that other birds look to the Ibis for leadership. 

I named the three above, Duck Rogers, Duckbill Gates and Duck Norris...
I am winging it today on puns, hope I did not ruffle your feathers.. and if your feathers are ruffled, stop being such a turkey... not my fault there are no Ibis Puns to be found in the wide wide world.

Osprey OPP

I came out of my TOPS meeting (down 1 more pound this week, total 16) and there was a man standing by his car holding up his phone, I grabbed my camera from my car and focused. The Osprey was so far away it required the full 60 zoom to see it. I snapped the shot and he took off, the Osprey, not the man.  my camera is so slow I missed most of it. he flew out of the photo, leaving me with the only option... put both pics in on collage.  I think this looks like Mr. And Mrs. Osprey...
